Rapunzel et al

A visit to the fairy park was penciled in on Thursday. Marisa reckons it has not changed since she visited the place when she was a kid. On the way driving there on the back roads of Little River, Alannah kept asking how do we 'get out' of the seemingly never ending road surrounded by dry grasslands. The road signs to the park are very small and on the way back, we had to turn back at least twice as I missed the intersections. My human GPS says all I need is her directions.

It is an interesting place - unique concept. If they fix it, they will probably attract more visitors. I reckon the dolls need a lick of paint and some TLC. There were a lot of flies and luckily the weather was a little cool. I didn't bring the digicam thinking the video camera is sufficient. I had forgotten that the built in digicam in it is only 1 megapixel. I will post some pics later.

Something really funny happened. There is a big slide and Alannah went with Mum first. When it was my turn, she was very willing to show me the way up there. "I'll show you something." was the phrase I kept hearing on the walk up to the 'Camelot.' When we got to the top, she wanted me to go on the slide by myself and she will meet me at the bottom - meaning she will walk back down the bridge all by herself. Apparently she got scared the first time but didn't want to spoil my turn so she thought of walking me up there!
