Bluetooth is a wonderful thing

A while back when I got the iMac, I also bought a wireless bluetooth mouse. I have had this Acer laptop from work for 3 years but they have crippled it by installing NT. Last year, I slowly reinstalled XP and searched for drivers.

Just before Christmas, I got the built-in camera to work and today, paired via bluetooth - my SE w910i and also the Logitech mouse used in the iMac. I took a photo of the kids having ice cream with my phone and used it to test the file transfer.

The windows bluetooth interface is clunky compared with the Mac but it could be the Acer software and implementation. I said to my boss the other day that he should replace my laptop with an Apple laptop - I can run XP and Ubuntu on it and that should cover cross-browser/cross-OS development and testing. He just smiled and said nice try.

BTW, I have burned a DVD of Alannah's concert to send to Pinas but the problem is going to the post office. I do everything online so sending a package is a little out of the ordinary - I can't even remember the last time I went to the post office. Probably the last time I sold something on eBay which was at least a year ago.

Talking about hacks, yesterday I managed to debrand my SE w910i and get rid of the Optus branding - so happy about it. This link shows you how but it does not unlock it from the network. I got Optus to do that.
