Waning - first entry for November

I backed up the first 3 and a bit years of all digital photos taken since Alannah was born and it pretty much filled up an entire DVD. On average, it is about 900+ photos a year. However, this year, especially the last quarter, the count is only approximately 500+ photos. There are 2 more months to go, so I need to take 400+ photos!

We are well behind the average - it should be more, now that there are 2 kids, 4ish cameras (well, pocket size, dslr, phone cam + video cam has low res photo cam). Marisa also noticed that people now asks, "How are the kids?" Walking past the hallway, all bedrooms are now inhabited by at least one person. No one can no longer hitch a ride in our car - with child restraints, pram, bag, etc. it is a full house.

Xavier had his 4 week checkup today. He is 4.69 kg now and about 56 cm long. I had to adjust the child restraint already to the next level up. He also loves his sleep - thank goodness. There were days where we were all having a nap in the afternoons. I will miss these afternoon naps as I go back to work next week. I will also miss seeing Alannah run to answer the phone. There was a telemarketer that rang today.

"Hello."
"Hello, how are you?"
"Good."
"Who is this?"
"Alannah."
"Can I speak to Richmond?"
"Dad, it's for you."
"Hello."
"Hello, how are you? I am from Global Shares Direct blah blah blah"
"I'm super."
"Is it Rich or Richmond?"
"It's Richmond."
"Did you get the pack that we sent last month via the mail?"
"It is probably in the bin."
"In the bin? Listen mate, are you interested in shares?"
"Yes, but I am not interested in you and good night."

Click.

"Who was that, Dad?"
"Wrong number."

A few minutes later..the phone rings again.

"Hello..." short pause.
"Hello?"

Click.

"Who was that?"
"Wrong number."
"Maybe next time, you should wait a little bit."
"I said hello two times and no answer."

Telemarketers, beware!
