Getting there

Alannah started standing up with Mum's help the other night. Last night, when I came home from work, she was standing by the front door with Mum, making small strides. She is still wobbly and needs something to lean on. The left leg is still not strong enough to support herself but she is slowly taking the steps.

This morning we went swimming to see how she would move in water - she is still a little stiff and since it is the first time since the operation, there is still that element of hesitation and fear. Perhaps when she is more confident in walking, we would go back to her swimming lessons, or just go to the pool to build her confidence again.
