There was much anticipation this week about new gadgets being
announced in the US. I woke up this morning a little tired as Alannah
woke up around 1 am and wouldn't sleep until around 3 am. We need to
sort out her allergies and hopefully the referral comes soon.
The new iPod can play videos - mpeg4 and skinnier than the current
one. It has better screen and comes in 30 gb and 60 gb. iTunes 6.0 was
also announced and it can play videos. The iMac G5 is a gem in terms
of spec. The remote that comes with it is a beaut - looks like a mini
iPod.
Last but not least, two new Palms were also announced this morning
albeit overshadowed by the Apple madness in San Jose, California. The
TX and Z22 - renamed Tungsten and Zire models have been bumped in
specs. So here goes the list that is going to Santa:
- Tungsten TX (to replace the TE)
- Sony Ericsson k750i (to replace the T600)
- 5G iPod (to replace the CD player)
- 20 inch iMac (to replace the ageing IBM P3)
- ThinkPad T43 (to replace the oldish Satellite)
- Speedmaster (to replace the TAG)
The list above is an easy fifteen grand! Now, gimme some lucky numbers
for the lotto so I can add a Bimmer X5 to the list! Checkout in gadgets link for all details and relevant
links to reviews.
