As the Japanese would say, arigato

Alannah is allergic to things like nuts, egg and dairy food. She is also allergic to chicken (yes, chicken!) and potatoes. And to think that we used to give her chicken and chips! So we have to tailor her diet accordingly. But how many kids would you ever meet that eat sushi (she is only 18 months remember)?

These sushi rolls are home made with her fave - rice and cucumber. She also like pasta bolognese and prawns, well, shrimps really, as otherwise I would go broke if we buy prawns everyday.

This week would be a milestone - the sixth week of one hour free time without the brace. It means starting a new regime and increasing her free time to six hours a day for another six weeks before the next visit to the orthopaedic doctor. She has started to take strides and can walk with guidance. She says "walk" while doing this mind you (remember the verb words that she knows and learns).

She also can usually repeat the last word of any sentence that you say as long as it's not a word like acknowledgement or something. The words are usually one syllable as anything longer she gets tongue twisted or shortens it. Oh yeah, she calls Tatjiana - 'Shan'.
